I am delighted to inform you that we have invited Skipping Workshops to present a whole-school skipping workshops, involving lessons for all classes Reception to Year 6.

ALL CHILDREN SHOULD COME TO SCHOOL IN THEIR PE KIT FOR THIS DAY.

Skipping Workshops have presented demonstrations in over 2000 schools, represented Great Britain in international skipping events and appeared on many TV shows.

To help children & parents interested in encouraging skipping we have a series of brief videos that illustrate various skills & challenges. Their aim is to encourage children and adults to skip for health, fun and fitness, whilst introducing modern and traditional skipping games including individual rope tricks, & a series of playground, skipping games. The school supports these aims.

The same high quality ‘speed ropes’ as used by the international team, can be purchased through their website https://www.skipping-workshops.co.uk/shop/ with a small postage fee added. They are available at a reduced cost of £5.00. The ropes are made to a high standard, are light and turn easily to allow children and adults to progress rapidly. Colour change solar ropes are £6. Adult ropes are also available at £7 each, 4m ‘family ropes’ at £8 each and 2 x 4m Double Dutch set for £12.  All skipping ropes etc are purchased direct from the Skipping Workshop and the school have no involvement in this.
